The CX-3 Maxx is the second level in the model line-up, sitting above the Neo and beneath the sTouring. The Maxx also welcomes the 1.5-litre diesel to the range and all-wheel drive with the petrol engine. The Maxx starts at $22,390 for the manual petrol, through $26,390 for the auto petrol all-wheel drive to $26,790 for the front wheel drive diesel auto.
The stereo is one big improvement, with a seven-inch touchscreen replacing the less-than-impressive two-line LCD in the Neo. You also get two more speakers to take the total to six and you can use Pandora, Stitcher and Aha from your phone via the screen.
Added to the Neo specs are 16-inch alloy wheels, sat nav and reversing camera.
The extra outlay for the Maxx buys a considerable uplift in spec for not a huge amount of money.
