Aston Martin Lagonda, legendary British sports luxury car maker. Since 1914 Aston has built sports cars with a luxurious edge for touring, as well as performance. Aston Martin and James Bond are inextricably linked in the minds of many; from the classic DB5 in Goldfinger to the DBS featured in the reimagined Casino Royale. Previously owned by Ford, Aston is now in the hands of David Richards (chairman of Prodrive) and a Kuwaiti investment fund. Under their stewardship Aston is turning out many new models in addition to the Vantage. The DB9, and Volante version, is a stunning GT sports coupe launched in 2004. Aston's flagship is the DBS, a high performance super car. The Rapide represents a challege to Porsche Panamera and Lamborghini Estoque in the 4 door supercar stakes. Finally Aston decided to go all out with the One-77, a carbon fibre, 7.3 litre, 2 door super coupe. Only 77 will be made and is expected to be priced at over a million pounds!
