The BMW M4 Coupe almost enters uncharted waters in new video.

BMW's new 317kW M4 coupe is quickly earning itself a reputation as a polished and poised performance car, neatly lapping the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7:52.

But like many recent M cars, the M4 is still a hooligan at heart. In this video the otherwise well-mannered coupe shreds a set of rear tyres while drifting around what BMW describes as the ultimate race track... Which happens to be located on an aircraft carrier, in the middle of the ocean.

Clearly taking inspiration from the Fast and Furious movie franchise, and unashamedly enhanced somewhat by the CGI wizards, it still makes us want to own the M4, which is the point, isn't it?
