Transmission issue on a Ford Focus Titanium Hatch

I recently purchased what I believed to be a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium Hatch. The rego papers show it was released in 2011, but the dealer says it was first registered in 2012. During the test drive I didn't notice it – but when starting from the lights or in stop-start traffic the clutch often feels like it's being ridden and/or can also be a little hesitant or irregular. It's not jerky yet but I'm concerned this could come. Through the higher gears it's nice and smooth. I see Ford extended the coverage for these dual-clutch transmissions – do you know if that covers a 2011 model if it was registered in 2012. I have full service history, and only purchased it one month ago from the dealer, including an extended warranty. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If it's a 2011 model that's what it is no matter when it was registered. The extended warranty should cover you in the event the transmission gets any worse. Given what you say is happening I would keep a close eye on it and, if you feel there is a problem take it to a dealer and have it checked.
