    Giulietta, A3 or Golf?

    I'm looking at the Alfa Romeo Giulietta progression JTD-M which is a great deal, brand-new with all the perks at $30,000. Diesel - so fuel economy is a big plus. As Alfa Romeo doesn't have the best reputation can you give any inside word, what are you thoughts as a car and quality? Alternatively I'm looking at an Audi A3 diesel, closer to $40,000, or a Golf TDI.

    An Alfa always looks good but the Volkswagen is the one that will get The Tick from me. The A3 is the same under the skin as the Golf but only go that way if you like the look and want the badge.
