Cost backfires

I AM thinking of putting my 2004 Toyota Avalon on gas. One of the gas conversion companies says they can put only an injection-type system on the Avalon, not the mixer type, because it causes backfires. I understand the injection type is better than the mixer, but my only concern is that it is costly.

THE older system is more prone to backfiring than the injection system because it works by flooding the inlet manifold with LPG and this can be ignited by a stray spark. ApolloGas developed the LPG system used by Toyota on the Avalon. Give them a call and ask their advice.
