The Panthermobile was created in 1969 for the Pink Panther Show by Hollywood vehicle designer Jay Ohrberg (also responsible for Knight Rider's K.I.T.T., the "Back To The Future" DeLorean, the original TV Batman Batmobile from, 1966 and the 1989 Batmobile and the "Dukes of Hazzard" General Lee).

Expected to fetch somewhere between AUD$77,000 and AUD$154,000, the Pink Panther car is in original condition and would benefit from restoration, says the auction house, but the engine is not currently running.

It is being offered for sale via an online auction starting this weekend timed for its appearance at the Chelsea Auto Legends Show on the same day.
