Mazda 3 Neo 2016 review: snapshot

EXPERT RATING
8
The Neo is the entry trim level in the Mazda3 line-up, and kicks off at $20,490 for either hatch or sedan bodystyles.

The Neo is the entry trim level in the Mazda3 line-up, and kicks off at $20,490 for either hatch or sedan bodystyles. This is $1900 less than the Maxx that sits above it and scored standard reversing sensors and 16-inch alloys as part of a running update in February 2015.

Other equipment highlights include push-button start and a rear spoiler on the hatch, but the Neo still misses out on the reversing camera that comes standard on all other 3 variants.

The Neo comes with a 114kW/200Nm 2.0-litre petrol four cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission, but a six-speed automatic can be added for an extra $2000.
