The $58,300 220i Convertible is the entry variant in the drop top range and sits below the $71,900 230i and the range topping $83,900 M240i.
Standard is a 6.5-inch screen with sat nav (Business spec), reversing camera, rear parking sensors, climate control, Driving Assistant, auto bi-xenon headlights, heated mirrors, auto wipers, leather-wrapped steering wheel, four cupholders and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The 220i has a new-generation 135kW/270Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine capable of taking the convertible from 0-100km/h sprint in 7.7s. Transmission is an excellent eight-speed automatic. The official combined fuel consumption is 6.1L/100km.
The roof is fabric and folds automatically even at speeds of up to 50km/h.
