It might be the entry-level model, but Mitsubishi's Outlander LS is still a complicated buffet of options, available in two- or all-wheel drive, with five or seven seats and a choice of engine and transmissions.
The Outlander LS 2WD with seven seats ($30,500) is powered exclusively by a continuously variable transmission (CVT) paired with a 2.0-litre engine that will produce 110kW at 6000rpm and 190Nm at 4200rpm, sending that power to the front wheels.
You can expect an Apple Car Play/Android Auto-equipped 7.0-inch touch screen with DAB digital radio that's matched with a six-speaker stereo. You can also expect 18-inch alloys, cloth seats, dual-zone climate control and cruise control, along with power windows and keyless entry.

Safety is taken care of with seven airbags, a reversing camera and reverse parking sensors, along with Hill Start Assist, but it does miss out on AEB at this trim level.
