The 2016 Renault Koleos range of configurations is currently priced from $7,990.
Our most recent review of the 2016 Renault Koleos resulted in a score of 7.6 out of 10 for that particular example.
Carsguide Senior Journalist Laura Berry had this to say at the time: Renault has done an excellent job in styling the Koleos – inside and out this SUV is stunning. Using Nissan excellent hardware underneath means it doesn't just look good either. There's a lack of refinement in the ride and the engine could do with more grunt at times, but for day-to-day urban use with the occasional adventure on dirt or gravel the Koleos is perfectly fine. The value for money is excellent, especially with the Intens – cheaper than the top of the range X-Trail with more features.

The 2016 Renault Koleos carries a braked towing capacity of up to 2000 Kg, but check to ensure this applies to the configuration you're considering.
The Renault Koleos 2016 prices range from $6,050 for the basic trim level SUV Expression (4x2) to $15,400 for the top of the range SUV Zen (4x4).
The best place to start for some professional advice is a transmission specialist. They’ll probably inspect the transmission in your car and will be able to work out whether it can be fixed or if it needs to be replaced.
If you do need a replacement CVT, there are three main ways to go. You could buy a brand new replacement CVT which is likely to be the most expensive course of action. The second alternative is to have the transmission shop recondition the one you already have. This will also be quite expensive.
The third option is to find a good, tested second-hand CVT from a wrecked Koleos and have that fitted. This will be by far the cheapest way to go. But the gamble with option three is that the same problems might happen again, and you’d be back to square one.
I agree that a 2016 model-year car is too new to be thrown away, but failures of CVT transmissions are more common than they should be. It’s something car makers need to look at when they consider future designs and engineering.

I contacted Renault Australia about this, Trevor. But it seems they need to know the trim level and precise model before they can offer an answer. Apparently, different specifications across the Koleos range meant that some variants had a different clock in a different dashboard which required a different technique to reset. Have you asked at a dealership?
