I am an older person and would like to trade my Ford Territory TX in on an SUV. I have read several reviews and have looked at the Nissan Qashqai ST auto, Ford Kuga petrol, 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan 140 TDI and 118 TSI, Renault Koleos. I would like to buy a car that is up from the road, as it becomes difficult to get in and out, has a petrol engine and automatic and is reasonable on fuel consumption. What do you suggest?

I am reluctant to recommend any European car, particularly those from VW, because of the problems that have soured the ownership experience for so many people. Rather than those you name I would be looking at the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V or Suzuki Vitara.
