Subaru Impreza 2017
Carsguide Contributing journalist Peter Anderson had this to say at the time: I drove the new Impreza in January and came away hugely... um... impressed. It's so much better than the old one inside and out. Even the transmission passes muster and I can't stand CVT autos. The Impreza remains individualistic (although the sedan isn't very pretty) and characterful but without the dodgy interiors and creaking undercarriage. You can read the full review here.
This is what Peter Anderson liked most about this particular version of the Subaru Impreza: New platform, Good interior, Good value, especially safety gear
The 2017 Subaru Impreza carries a braked towing capacity of up to 1200 Kg, but check to ensure this applies to the configuration you're considering.
The Subaru Impreza is also known as the subaru xv in markets outside Australia.

Subaru Impreza 2017 Q&As
Check out real-world situations relating to the Subaru Impreza here, particularly what our experts have to say about them.
Subaru Impreza 2017: What's a good replacement?
One to try is the Ford Focus; it has a rear view camera, GPS, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and fits within your budget.
Subaru Impreza 2017: Window suddenly shattered
If you've got dash cam footage that conclusively shows the breakage wasn't caused by some external impact I would say, yes, pursue it. But if there weren't conclusive proof that it wasn't caused by an object impacting the glass I wouldn't go any further.
Factory vs. Aftermarket: which oil is better?
I would use the factory recommended oil, at least while the car is under warranty. Once the warranty has expired you could use the Mobil oil and shouldn’t experience any problems.
Holden Commodore: What's a good replacement?
All of the cars you name meet your criteria of size, economy, performance and handling.
Of all of those I would nominate the Camry as the great all-rounder.
