Related to Hyundai Group siblings the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6, the Genesis GV60 is an AWD five-seat medium-size pure-electric SUV offered in two grades - GV60 AWD and Performance AWD.

In line with its six-figure price tag the GV60 is although its somewhat bulbous nose treatment hasn’t been warmly received by all.

The line-up currently starts at $88,300 for the GV60 Advanced (Rwd) and ranges through to $130,000 for the range-topping GV60 Magma (Awd).

Genesis GV60 Range

The Genesis GV60 Advanced has a claimed range of 561km thanks to its 84kWh battery. While the GV60 Magma has the same battery, its higher power and less aerodynamic body mean its range is 425km.

Genesis GV60 Colours

Genesis offers the GV60 Advanced in six gloss/metallic colours - Uyuni White, Saville Silver, Makalu Grey, Vik Black, Tromso Green and Ceres Blue, as well as three matt colours, Matterhorn White, Makalu Grey and Ceres Blue.

The GV60 Magma is available in 10 colours, as it adds its signature Magma Orange to the other options.

Genesis GV60 Interior

The Genesis GV60 shares its basic layout with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, as the two are built on the same underpinnings. However, there are some key changes, most specifically in the flagship Magma.

There is an overall higher level of design and finish, with the Magma featuring a lot of leather and suede, offset by contrasting Magma-orange stitching - with white stitching available as an option. The sports seats are a particular highlight, finished a combination of leather and suede with the specific Magma stitching pattern.

Genesis has equipped withe GV60 Magma with a launch control function that allows it to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds and take 10.9 seconds for it to reach 200km/h. The top speed is limited to 264km/h.

Genesis GV60 Accessories

The Genesis GV60 comes with a level of standard equipment you should expect from a luxury car. This includes a 27-inch OLED multimedia touchscreen/display, 19-inch alloy wheels and the company's Digital Key 2.

The GV60 Magma hero model adds more equipment including a 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, remote start, fingerprint recognition and a 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Genesis GV60 Engine

The Genesis GV60 Advanced features a single electric motor, mounted on the rear axle. It produces 168kW/350Nm.

The GV60 Magma has a more powerful dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain that makes 448kW/740Nm in its standard setting but can reach to 478kW/790Nm for 10 seconds when Boost Mode is activated.
