The final quarter of 2024 is set to see GWM offer some of the lowest prices it ever has on most of its models, including its already extremely competitively priced electric car.

The 2024 GWM Ora electric car already sat firmly at the low end of the price range of electric cars in Australia, but with a further price drop of $2000 the small EV now starts from $33,990 drive-away in its Standard Range form (with 310km of electric range). The Extended Range (420km) variant is only $1000 more, both until December 31.

It will become the cheapest electric car on sale in Australia on November 1, with the MG4 Excite available at $30,990 until October 31, after which it will revert back to its regular price of $39,990 drive-away. Either way, the Ora is also be thousands of dollars clear of other close competitors, including the BYD Dolphin Dynamic ($38,890 before on-roads) and the ZS Excite EV (also $39,990 drive-away).

The small gap between pricing for the Standard and Extended Range variants of Ora (which both use the same front-mounted 126kW motor) comes due to the previous discount applied to the Extended, which is currently $6000 cheaper than its original price rather than $2000 like the Standard Range.

The top-spec GT also benefits from a $5000 price drop, sitting it at $41,990 drive-away.

GWM hasn’t limited its price slashing to the Ora, in fact pretty much every GWM on sale in Australia has some kind of discount applied until 31 December this year.

The Haval Jolion SUV has a $1000 price drop applied to its usual drive-away pricing, for example, with the model starting from $25,990.

The larger Haval H6 SUV is at least $3000 cheaper than usual right now, or as much as $4500 in the differently styled H6 GT Ultra.

The Tank 300 is also subject to a $2000 price drop for its non-hybrid, or $5000 off the pricing for its electrified variants, while the Cannon and Cannon Alpha utes are also available for $2000 less than usual.

A full breakdown of pricing is listed below, with pricing adjustments noted compared to standard drive-away pricing.
