2021 Mitsubishi ASX pricing confirmed: Mazda CX-30 and Kia Seltos rival gets more expensive

All automatic versions of the 2021 Mitsubishi ASX are now $250 pricier than before.

Mitsubishi Motors Australia’s ASX small SUV has crept up slightly in price for the 2021 model year, with all automatic grades moving $250 upstream.

However, the entry-level ES manual remains static at $23,990 before on-road costs for 2021, while the automatic and ES ADAS versions are now priced at $26,240 and $27,990 respectively.

Buyers stepping up to the MR and LS will now need to spend $27,990 and $28,940, while the more powerful GSR and Exceed are $30,990 and $33,490 apiece.

CarsGuide has contacted Mitsubishi to ascertain if there are any equipment changes to justify the price rise, or if its simply a small adjustment due to unfavourable Australian economic conditions, but the brand said it is not ready to share any updates.

However, given the minor price corrections and the fact that the facelifted ASX that launched 12 months ago (and has since already seen a price rise due to exchange-rate pressure), specification likely remains static.

What is known however, is that the ES, MR and LS grades are powered by a 110kW/197Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, while the MR and LS variants score a 123kW/222Nm 2.4-litre engine.

The base ES manual is paired with a five-speed gearbox, while the rest of the line-up gain a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT).

Like all new Mitsubishi models, the ASX comes with a 10-year/200,000km factory warranty when serviced at a dealership owned by the brand.
