Holy ravioli! This company makes officially licensed 1966 Batmobiles!

We all know Batman is cool. I don't think anyone is here to dispute that, and if you are, well... take it to the comments section.

There's a lot that makes Batman cool. He has a badass costume, a ton of rad gadgets, and the greatest organisational skills known to mankind, which, speaking as someone who can hardly plan a meal for themselves, is the ultimate superpower.

But coolest of all - as I'm sure most car enthusiasts will agree with - is the Batmobile; the Dark Knight's fearsome fortress for facing fiendish foes.

In the same way everyone has their opinion on who the best Batman is (even though it's obviously Kevin Conroy), everyone has their favourite Batmobile.

Well, if you're a fan of the 1966 Batmobile then rejoice (I assume with a celebratory Batusi), because if you have the money you can buy a replica of the caped crusader's crime crushing cruiser. But these aren't just any random replicas, these are officially licensed by DC.

Mark Racop of Fibreglass Freaks has been making replica Batmobiles since 1983 when he and his friends converted a 1974 Monte Carlo into the legendary vehicle.

In the years that followed his process was refined, the show was studied and by the late '90s his work had started to find its way onto the internet. You can read the full story on the Fibreglass Freaks website here.

In 2010 Racop was given authorisation by DC Comics to build Officially Licensed Batmobile replicas; twenty-two have been completed to date.

For a closer look at his process, check out this video by YouTube channel Barcroft Cars:

According to Fibreglass Freaks' sales brochure, one of the replicas will set you back somewhere between $125,000-$250,000.

If you don't have that kind of money however, don't despair! Fibreglass Freaks has a store where bat-fans can buy smaller bits and pieces to bring a little bat-magic to their own bat-cars.

Now all you need to do is find an arch nemesis and some shark repellent.
