Ever wanted to make a LEGO Barra engine? You're not the only one

By Mitchell TulkMitchell Tulk

This Aussie bloke has created a miniature LEGO version of Ford’s iconic Barra engine.

Using standard LEGO pieces you can find at any toy store, the in-line six features a turbo and a smaller version of the ZF auto transmission

  • One of Australia's most iconic engines. One of Australia's most iconic engines.
  • I wonder how much boost it can handle? I wonder how much boost it can handle?

On top of this, the engine runs when hooked up to a battery, with firing pistons, moving belts and a spinning turbo.

With car manufacturers even making LEGO vehicles such as Toyota and McLaren, what could be better than dropping a full-sized LEGO Barra into a Camry or 720S?

What engine would you like to make out of LEGO? Let us know in the comments.
