Carsguide Production Editor Jack Quick had this to say at the time: On paper this 2.5-litre engine doesn’t sound the best for the CX-60, but in practice it’s likely all the engine you would ever need out of a car like this. Unless you really want the fuel-saving benefits the plug-in hybrid brings, it could arguably be the pick of the engine line-up, especially from a value perspective.

Mazda CX-60 2026 Interior

The CX-60’s cabin focuses on premium design and simple ergonomics.

Materials range from black cloth in the Pure to black synthetic leather and proper leather in higher trims.

The Azami offers available Tan or Pure White Nappa options.

Dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting (Azami only) and a 12.3-inch digital display enhance comfort and technology access.

Four powertrains are offered.

G25: 2.5-litre petrol, 138kW/250Nm, RWD

G40e: 3.3-litre turbo-petrol mild hybrid, 209kW/450Nm, AWD

D50e: 3.3-litre turbo-diesel mild hybrid, 187kW/550Nm, AWD

P50e: 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid, 241kW/500Nm, AWD

All use an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Mazda claims brisk performance across the range.

The G25 petrol manages around 9.0 seconds 0–100 km/h, while the G40e turbo-petrol cuts that to about 6.9 seconds.

The D50e diesel does it in roughly 7.3 seconds, and the P50e plug-in hybrid in 5.8 seconds.

Top speeds sit between 190 km/h and 200 km/h depending on engine.

Cargo capacity is 570 litres with all seats in place, expanding to 1726 litres with the rear seats folded.

An underfloor storage space is included across the range.

All 2026 Mazda CX-60 models seat five.

Every grade includes 40/20/40 split-fold rear seats with adjustable head restraints and a fold-down centre armrest.

Pure and Evolve grades use manual adjustment, while Touring and above gain electric adjustment with driver memory.

Heated seats are standard from Touring, and front ventilation is exclusive to the Azami.

Mazda CX-60 2026 Range

Official combined fuel use ranges from 7.5L/100km (G25) to 7.4L/100km (G40e) and 5.0L/100km (D50e).

The P50e plug-in hybrid records 2.1L/100km with a 17.8kWh battery and up to 76km of EV-only range.

Fuel tank capacities are 58L for petrol and diesel models, and 50L for the PHEV.

All 2026 Mazda CX-60 variants include LED lighting, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, and a 360-degree camera.

Higher trims add larger 12.3-inch displays, a power tailgate, heated seats and steering wheel, a Bose 12-speaker system, panoramic sunroof, and personalisation memory functions in the GT and Azami.
