Volkswagen Australia has brought back its Wolfsburg badge not seen since 2021 on the 2024 Tiguan Allspace three-row SUV.
First seen on the 2015 Golf R, the Wolfsburg badge has appeared on sporty versions of VW products including Tiguan and Touareg.
The blacked-out Tiguan Allspace Wolfsburg 162TSI is priced from $63,990 before on-road costs.
It's mostly a black pack applied to the SUV powered by the Australian favourite 162kW/350Nm 162TSI engine with all-wheel drive and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The Wolfsburg is available in four colours: Deep black pearl, Platinum grey and Pyrite silver with Oryx white pearl an extra $900.
With 20-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, mirror caps and rear privacy class, the Allspace Wolfsburg’s exterior is finished with a newly designed badge.
The Tiguan Allspace’s Sound and Vision package includes Harman Kardon sound system and 360-degree camera, while tyre pressure monitoring is also standard.
These features complement black leather upholstery, a 9.2-inch multimedia touchscreen, keyless entry and R-Line body kit of the standard 162 TSI R-Line ($60,590 before on-road costs).
The Wolfsburg features $3650 worth of extras in raw options, with the unique black pack its main selling point over the chrome-heavy R-Line.
A panoramic sunroof costs an additional $2100 and is the only option.
The Tiguan Allspace Wolfsburg has seating for seven and is a rival for the Mitsubishi Outlander and Kia Sorento. It comes after Volkswagen dropped Allspace pricing to bring it in line with the two-room Tiguan.
Volkswagen has an allocation of 1000 Tiguan Allspace Wolfsburg editions available to order now.
