I have seen a number of questions asked to the guide regarding the steering wheel peel that seems to occur in the 2010 Hyundai ix35. This is occurring badly in my ix35. I have not contacted my dealer, as I was not sure what the response would be. It seems from your replies to the other questions asked to you about this that there is something you might be able to assist with to get the ball rolling on some kind of replacement. If this is not possible, could you maybe suggest how I might be able to repair this myself? Is it difficult/expensive?
It’s not unusual for the steering wheel to wear, and your car is now nine years old, so I doubt you would get any help from Hyundai. Go to an auto retail shop, such as Autobarn, Repco, Supercheap, Auto Pro, or one of the many others, and ask for their assistance in treating the wheel.
