Nissan X-Trail vs Subaru Forester: Which is better?
The Nissan’s price is on the money for a private sale, although the mileage is at the top end of the range. The Subaru’s price is above the top end of the quoted value for the model, which is probably due to its very low odo reading. Any known problems with the 2013 Nissan X-Trail?
They’re generally sound, but there are a couple of things to be aware of. If it’s a manual, look for a worn clutch. They are expensive to replace. Check for shuddering, hesitations, or a reluctance to drive if it’s got a CVT. Diesels are prone to blocking of the DPF filter if they’re only driven short distances and don’t get a chance to regenerate the way they are designed to do.Show more
