Tropical storm Kong-Rey, which has already dropped more than 500 millimeters of rain on Taiwan. The torrential rain caused a landslide in the southern city of Tainan. The spectacular slide on Saturday dislodged a boulder the size of one of the island's small apartments and sent it rolling downhill into busy traffic
It narrowly missed this Toyota sedan, whose occupants must have had a few terrifying seconds as it rolled towards then -- and looked large enough to roll right over the top of their car.
Luckily, it lost momentum right beside the car, and settle back just inches away from crushing it. The driver and passenger were reportedly shaken but escaped with just minor injuries -- and were definitely very lucky.
