The concept car took out the design award for the concept and prototypes class. And now it will move from show to go, with the unveiling overnight of the street version at Frankfurt motor show.
The new Aston Martin V12 Zagato – based on the V12 Vantage – will carry a 6.0-litre V12 engine (of course) mated to a six-speed manual transmission and developing 380kw of power and 570Nm of torque.
The Zagato name comes from the Italian coachbuilder house who designed the aluminium and carbon-fibre body for the sports car, the latest in a long line of bodies they have built for Aston Martin.
The V12 Zagato will go on sale overseas next year, priced somewhere around the equivalent of $550,000 – before taxes, tariffs and on-road costs.
