After getting into 4WD a few years ago, we have gone from a â89 Sierra to a 2010 Wrangler Unlimited, and are now in the market for an in-betweener. A medium sized off road vehicle that is a nice daily driver, but can âreallyâ go off road, and also take the dog and potential kid on adventures. It seems like every medium sized SUV these days comes without low range and sells based on the AWD badge only. Is there anything besides the vintage looking Grand Vitara that will do the trick?

What 4WD SUV should I buy?

Most SUVs are really AWDs with limited off-road capability, so it comes down to how serious you are about going bush. The Suzuki Grand Vitara would seem to be your best bet.
