My 2013 Toyota RAV4 has travelled 54,000 km and is in excellent condition, but about 12 months ago it started popping out of gear. It usually happened when driving in 3rd or 4th gear and unpredictably at speeds of around 60 km/h. I have taken it back to the dealer and reported the fault, but they cannot replicate it. I have Googled this problem and it appears I am not alone. Is there anything I can do about it?
It is hard for a dealer to replicate a problem if it doesn't happen with any regularity, so persist with the dealer, and if that doesn't result in your satisfaction report the problem directly to Toyota (ph 1800 869 682).
