You’ll want it, but you can’t have it… unless you speak Japanese… and live in Japan!

Toyota Kirobo Mini – Just launched in Japan, Kirobo is available through Toyota dealers IN THE DOMESTIC MARKET ONLY, dammit! Possibly the most adorable thing ever produced by human minds and hands, Kirobo can “engage in casual conversation” (backed by gestures and the ability to respond to user emotions), “learn and provide tailored companionship”, and fit in the palm of your hand (or a cupholder) with a seated height of only 10cm.

But sadly, English isn’t Kirobo’s thing. The ‘Kirobo Mini Friend Park’ site “allows users to share personal moments with their own Kirobo Mini and exchange information to help others discover the charm of the Kirobo Mini”. Watch the YouTube video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G__ruOOlv-Q] and dream.

Price: Kirobo Mini - 42,984 yen (approximately $508). Carry case with chair - 6426 yen (approximately $76). (Plus a monthly fee of 350 yen [$4.00] for use of a dedicated app)
