My wife has been having issues with her 2010 Holden Cruze diesel losing power and I have just read on here of other people having the exact same issue. Is it something that should be a recall issue, or for Holden to repair as a goodwill gesture being common. The thing I don't agree with from the question asked in April 2019 is that yes it’s very annoying but to say it’s not a safety issue is wrong. My wife's car completely lost power as she took off at an intersection and slowly rolled across luckily there were no other cars coming. This also happened while driving and if at high speed you lose power and steering. Why isn't this classified as a safety issue?
Holden recalled 8000 diesel Cruzes in 2014 for a driveshaft problem that causes the vehicle to lose power. The cars affected were mostly built between February 2009 and December 2010. Holden replaced any driveshafts found to be faulty. Contact your dealer, or Holden direct.
