Subaru Forester 2007: High oil consumption?

Asked by Milton Howard

I have a 2007 Forester and am considering an upgrade to another Forester. It has been a great car and I am more than happy with it but I have read on the internet about many 2.5-litre Subaru cars experiencing excessive oil consumption, say a litre or more every 2000km. Does this problem effect Australian delivered cars?

Subaru Australia spokesman David Rowley says: "We are not aware of any such issue in current generation Australian specification Foresters."
