    Best dual-cab ute for heavy towing?

    I am looking to buy a dual-cab 4WD ute diesel with a view to towing a caravan. I would like to tow up to 3 tonnes and the vehicle would need to accommodate tow hitches for the van. I understand there are some vehicles that are not able to use tow hitches as they can bend or pull the tow bar out of the vehicle. I am looking to pay about $40,000.

    The Ford Ranger is best in the class and just coming up for a facelift and general update and the Isuzu D-Max, which is not as refined for on-road work, gets big ticks for heavy towing.
