A British rival to the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series ute? 2024 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster dual-cab ute coming soon, ready for reveal

The Quartermaster is likely to follow similar styling cues to the Grenadier wagon.

The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed is set to mark the debut of the dual-cab version of the Ineos Grenadier, dubbed the Quartermaster.

On Thursday July 13, the Quartermaster dual-cab will be shown at the storied festival, which marks the 75-year anniversary of Goodwood motorsports, before making a hillclimb, as is tradition.

It’s expected that the Ineos Grenadier dual-cab’s specs will mostly mirror those of the wagon, which is available with two BMW-sourced 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engines - a petrol which makes 210kW/450Nm, while the diesel outputs 183kW/550Nm.

Standard equipment in the wagon includes Recaro seats, LED headlights, roof rails, 17-inch steel wheels a full-size spare wheel and off-road navigation for just the base model, which starts at $97,000 before on-road costs as a wagon.

With the top-spec variant a little more than $10,000 over the base price, most of the additions are off-roading related, with raised air intake, access ladders, rear differential locks, all-terrain tyres and some basic interior comforts like heated seats.

At Goodwood, the UK-based brand will also debut a Grenadier Hydrogen Fuel Cell (FCEV) ‘Technology Demonstrator’ which it hopes will “show how well-suited the zero emissions technology is for a future long-range 4X4 off-roader”.

The FCEV will also make a run at the hillclimb with the ICE-powered Quartermaster.

Goodwood attendees will also have a chance to test the existing Grenadier Station Wagon at the Goodwood Halnaker Chalkpit off-road course.
