Polestar 4 is the electric SUV Coupe from electric automaker Polestar – the company's fastest vehicle to date.
Launched in 2023, the Polestar 4 offers a level of luxury refinement that few in the EV space have been able to match, while coupling it with a high-level of performance.
With a claimed charge time of 30 minutes, the Polestar 4 has a range of 620 km. Better yet, it’s long range dual-motor spec will do 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Inside, the Polestar 4 blends sustainable materials with premium tech. Buyers will find a low, flowing dash design, an expansive 15.4-inch landscape touchscreen powered by Android Automotive OS, and an optional 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Recycled PET, vegan upholstery and optional Nappa leather underscore Polestar’s sustainability mission while ensuring luxury isn't compromised.

The Polestar 4 is available in finishes including Magnesium, Snow, Thunder, Jupiter and Space. These hues are chosen to enhance the sleek coupe-SUV profile while maintaining the brand’s modernist aesthetic.
Despite its sloping roofline, the Polestar 4 offers 526 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, expanding to 1536 litres when folded. A front storage compartment (‘frunk’) adds an additional 15 litres —ideal for cables or small items— complementing its practicality credentials.
Two powertrains are available. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant accelerates from 0–100km/h in a brisk 7.1 seconds. For more performance, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive delivers a sports-car-like 0–100km/h time of just 3.8 seconds, with a governed top speed of 200km/h.

The 4 also produced in China at Ningbo, as well as in South Korea at Renault's Busan plant. Both examples sold in Australia are built in China.

The 2026 Polestar 4 features a five-seat configuration across the range, with a strong focus on comfort and minimalist Scandinavian design. What’s unique is the car’s coupe-like silhouette that doesn't compromise rear headroom, thanks to a bold design decision — no rear window. Instead, a digital rear-view mirror uses a roof-mounted camera to maintain visibility while allowing the rear seats to be placed further back for more space and comfort.
Being fully electric, the Polestar 4 uses a 100kWh battery pack. The single-motor RWD version produces 200kW and 343Nm, while the dual-motor AWD variant bumps that to 400kW and 686Nm. A single-speed automatic transmission ensures seamless power delivery across both configurations.

Standard features in the 2026 Polestar 4 include dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay, LED lighting, a panoramic glass roof and adaptive cruise control. Stepping up the range brings a head-up display, a premium sound system, 22-inch alloys, soft-close doors and Polestar's signature Pilot pack with enhanced autonomous driving aids.
Official energy consumption sits at 15.1kWh/100km for the single-motor RWD and 17.5kWh/100km for the dual-motor AWD variant (based on WLTP). With a claimed driving range of up to 620km (RWD) and 590km (AWD), the Polestar 4 is engineered for long-distance touring with minimal charging stops —perfect for Australian conditions.
