I have a 2014 Toyota Camry hybrid taxi and the hybrid battery has failed after with 230,000 km. I called a few Toyota dealers and they've never heard batteries going at 230,000 km, and it will cost around $4000 to replace. Someone with the same problem got a 25 per cent gesture discount from Toyota. How do I deal with this situation?
The batteries used in Toyota hybrids have been good for many hundreds of thousands of kilometres, so it’s surprising that yours has failed after so few kilometres and just four years old. I would approach Toyota and put your case for a refund to them.
