Ford Focus transmission shudder

My 2012 Ford Focus Titanium has had transmission shudders and exhaust rattles since I purchased it new. The dealer has adjusted the transmission settings on a number of occasions, but both faults still exist an both Ford Customer Relations and the dealer acknowledge that they still exist. Now I am told that they are within specification and that there is nothing wrong with my vehicle. The dealer has informed me that this is a common problem with the petrol Focus Titanium. How do I get Ford to accept its responsibility under the provisions of my warranty to fix my car so that it drives like a $38,000 top-of-the-line four-cylinder vehicle?

It's interesting that Ford acknowledges there is an issue, but that it is acceptable. That would suggest that they don't know how to fix it. One owner we know of has managed to get her car replaced after complaining about transmission shudder, perhaps you should try the same course of action through your state consumer affairs people.
