I reported a problem with the battery or alternator on my 2013 Mercedes-Benz Vito appox. 15 months ago. I replaced three batteries in that time and was advised that no problem was found. Now, they say the alternator needs replacing at a cost of $3300. It's not covered by Mercedes-Benz. When I question why, no reason given. What options do I have?
Show the dealer your record of reports and battery replacements to back up your claim and request a goodwill payment to cover the cost of replacing the alternator. If that isn't successful you could consider going to VCAT.
