New Mini Cooper S 2021 pricing and spec detailed: Rosewood Edition lands as stylish Audi A1 alternative

The Rosewood Edition can easily be distinguished by its ‘Indian Summer Red’ paintwork – a colour borrowed from the Clubman.

Mini Australia has launched 40 examples of its limited-run Rosewood Edition in three- and five-door body styles, which add unique styling elements to the Cooper S grade.

Split evenly between three-door Hatch and 5-Door models, the former will cost $59,250 drive-away with the latter wearing a $60,550 pricetag.

Based on the automatic Cooper S variant – priced at $44,000 before on-road costs and $45,250 for the three- and five-door respectively – the Rosewood Edition is powered by a peppy 141kW/280Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine.

Drive is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, resulting in a zero-to-100km/h sprint time of just 6.7 and 6.8 seconds.

Borrowing the Clubman’s ‘Indian Summer Red’ exterior colour to welcome warmer weather, the Rosewood Edition also scores piano black detailing on the head- and tail-light surrounds, door handles, tailgate grab handle, and front grille.

The cabin is also treated with leather seats, piano-black surfaces and a soft-touch Nappa leather steering wheel.

Other equipment highlights include a 5.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.8-inch multimedia screen with satellite navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay, 17-inch wheels, Anthracite headliner, bespoke Rosewood side sills, adaptive LED headlights, wireless smartphone charger, and 12-speaker sound system.
