2022 Ford F-150 scores Roush Performance treatment to outshine Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado

If you think the Ford F-150 is too subtle, then Roush Performance might have the right upgrade kit for you.

Switching out the usual Ford-branded front grille, the Roush kit adds its own component that lets more air flow into the engine for better cooling.

The new Roush grille also sports integrated accent lighting so others will know what you are driving even in the dark, while new heat-extracting bonnet vents can also be optioned to completely transform the front fascia of the 2022 F-150.

The Roush-upgraded F-150 is also differentiated by its new fender flares and fender vents – both of which are finished in satin black to match the grille and bonnet vents.

Buyers can however, option the fender flares to match the F-150 body colour.

Satin-black decals can also be found on the bonnet, tailgate and vehicle flanks, as well as a Roush banner now positioned on the roof instead of windscreen to avoid fouling any of front-facing sensors.

Rounding out the exterior changes is a set of 20-inch wheels finished in Iridium Gray Satin, with their design targeting maximum airflow to cool the brakes.

Wrapped around the wheels are 33-inch all-terrain tyres.

Coilovers are also included in the Roush upgrade kit, as well as a performance exhaust with an adjustable valve to vary the aural noise when driving.

Inside, the new F-150 sports two leather finishes based on grade, with the XLT featuring a two-tone grey and black colour, while the Lariat version is decked out in all-black leather with brown accents.

Regardless, each one sports a Roush-branded headrest.

Unfortunately, Roush has left the powertrain untouched, which range from a base 3.3-litre petrol V6 to a turbo-diesel V6.

The most common engine among the 2022 F-150 line-up is a 3.5-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, which produces up to 340kW/690Nm, while a 5.0-litre Coyote V8 version serves up 298kW/556Nm.

All versions of the 2022 Ford F-150 are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
