WE HAVE a 1995 Peugeot 405 that we had planned to trade in, but the dealer would not accept our car because there is no compliance plate on it. We don't know why. We bought the car new and it has not been in a crash. VicRoads was unable to help. Do you have any suggestions?
CONTACT Peugeot, state the car's vehicle identification number (VIN) and ask for advice. The car should have had a compliance plate when it was sold, and it should have been checked by the dealer and VicRoads at the time of registration.
