I USE regular unleaded petrol in my 1974 MGB with an additive, but I've been told I could use 98-octane fuel without an additive. Is this correct?
THE higher-octane fuel will make the B sing a little more, but I would still use an additive. The purpose of the additive is to cover the loss of lead in the fuel and protect the valves from recession.
