Goodbye, old girl

IT'S time for the old girl to go. She is roadworthy with a good motor, brakes and tyres, but has rusted around the windscreen. Anyway, parts for the 1986 Mitsubishi Sigma wagon are getting harder to get. In the local paper there are offers to take cars away if you pay $50, or some will pay ``up to'' $300. We need the money, so can you tell us where we could get the best value without being ripped off?

I'M GUESSING the old girl isn't really roadworthy if it's rusted, but try selling it. If it's mechanically sound it might be worth a few dollars to someone in a similar situation to yourself who needs some spares. Otherwise, give the wreckers and scrap-metal merchants a call. They'll probably take it off your hands free if you deliver it to their yard.
