Mahindra Pik-Up Australia

Mahindra Pik-Up Australia

FROM $30,910

The Mahindra Pik-Up launched in Australia in 2007, offering a budget-friendly alternative in the light commercial segment. Known overseas as the Mahindra Scorpio Getaway, it was based on the Indian brand’s Scorpio SUV and targeted trades and regional buyers looking for a simple workhorse. Its arrival marked Mahindra’s first serious attempt at cracking the Australian ute market.

In 2012 the Pik-Up received its first major update with a revised front end, upgraded interior and improved safety. A 2.2-litre mHawk turbo-diesel replaced the older engine, giving it more torque and better refinement. Mahindra gradually expanded its dealer network and promoted the Pik-Up as a rugged but affordable ute, often undercutting mainstream rivals on price.

The second-generation Mahindra Pik-Up arrived in 2017 with sharper styling, more equipment and compliance with stricter emissions standards. Today it remains in showrooms as Mahindra’s cornerstone ute, positioned as a no-frills option for rural buyers and fleet operators.

The line-up currently starts at $30,910 for the Pik-Up S11 4X4 and ranges through to $37,180 for the range-topping Pik-Up S11 4X4.
