Skoda capped price servicing - cost, schedule & info

Skoda offers buyers the choice of a standard capped price service plan a pre-purchase plan.

Skoda Australia backs every model in its entire range with a capped price servicing plan which spans six years or 90,000km. Service intervals for all models are 12 months/15,000km.

The Skoda Service Price plan spans all current models, from the pint-sized Fabia to the family focused Kodiaq SUV.

See the table below for a full breakdown of service intervals and coverage for each model in the Skoda range, and the service costs for all models, too.

The company offers owners the option to choose a Service Pack, which can be pre-purchased and rolled into your lease or finance paperwork. With a focus on making things more consumer-centric, Skoda offers a choice of two different durations of capped-price coverage if you choose a Service Pack.

The first is a five-year/75,000km servicing plan, or you might wish to choose the seven-year/105,000km plan. No matter which you choose, you’ll save a little bit of money by going this way instead of just paying for services as you go. A disclaimer: the Service Pack “covers standard items as contained in each scheduled service interval only”. Some of the additional cost items could include brake pads and brake rotors, and even the alarm system, which is due to be replaced every six years on most models.

As you might expect, the smaller models in the range (the Fabia, Rapid and Karoq) are a little more affordable to maintain than the larger models (Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq). And performance car enthusiasts will be happy to learn the Octavia RS model is covered by the capped price plan, whether you pre-purchase or not.

Being able to pre-purchase your aftersales care is a welcome way of doing things, and Skoda’s decent intervals and reasonable pricing put it better than plenty of its bigger-name rivals. 8/10

Skoda's warranty plan is five years/unlimited kilometres for private purchasers. That drops to 150,000km for rental vehicles, hire cars, taxis, courier vehicles, driving school vehicles, security vehicles, busses and tour vehicles.
