The 2 Series Gran Coupe has five seats and they fold 60/40 split. They are lowered via levers in the boot and there is a fold-down armrest in the second row.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe can cover 0-100km/h in 8.7 seconds for the entry level 218i, while the top-spec M235i xDrive is much quicker at 4.9sec.
The 2 Series Gran Coupe sedan has capacity for 430 litres of cargo, which is more than the 380L capacity of the related 1 Series hatchback.
The interior of the 2 Series Gran Coupe will be familiar to anyone who has been in a 1 Series hatchback. It is modern, but unmistakably BMW in execution. All functions come to hand easily and there is something premium about the look and the feel. Depending on the grade there are options to jazz up the trim. It is spacious enough for a small car and the onboard tech, like the digital instrument cluster and multimedia system, are excellent.
