Two engines are available in the CX-5 Touring grade, a 140kW/252Nm 2.5-litre petrol or a 140kW/450Nm 2.2-litre turbo-diesel.

Both versions send drive to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission, with the petrol costing $40,980 before on-road costs and the diesel $43,980.

Standard equipment on the Touring includes keyless entry, push-button start, a head-up display, premium upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights.

The multimedia system is displayed across an 8.0-inch screen and also spots satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

The CX-5 Touring also boasts a long list of safety gear, affording it a full five-star ANCAP safety rating, that includes autonomous emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist.
