The flagship X1 M35i xDrive is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 221kW and 400Nm.

The 2026 BMW X1 comes with a five-seat configuration as standard.

A number of synthetic and genuine leather upholstery options are available in different colours.

All versions of the X1 now come with heated front seats that also have electric adjustment and memory.

The 2026 BMW X1 sDrive20i is claimed to do the 0-100km/h sprint in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 216km/h.

The X1 xDrive25 is claimed to do the 0-100km/h sprint in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 190km/h, although that drops to 140km/h when using electric power only.

The X1 M35i xDrive is claimed to do the 0-100km/h sprint in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 250km/h.

The 2026 BMW X1 sDrive20i is claimed to consume 6.1L/100km on the combined cycle, according to ADR 81/02 testing. It has a 54L fuel tank and this allows for a theoretical range of up to 885km.

The X1 xDrive25e offers up to 86km of WLTP-claimed electric range and consumes 3.3L/100km on the combined cycle. It has a 47L fuel tank and this allows for a theoretical range of up to 1424km.

Lastly, the X1 M35i xDrive is claimed to consume 8.3L/100km, according to WLTP testing. It has a 54L fuel tank and this allows for a theoretical range of up to 650km.

All X1 variants require a minimum of 95 RON premium unleaded petrol.
