BMW X1 2011: Seats cracking

I presume the seats are leather. Leather needs regular maintenance with cleaner and conditioner to keep it supple and prevent it from drying out and cracking. You can buy leather conditioner at all major auto outlets.

Power chip for 2010 BMW X1

We haven't had any experience with the chip you refer to, but have had some with other chips that have been offered here in the past. Yes they can work, but they do so by taking the engine calibration closer to the edge than the carmaker would dare do with safety. In my view they would clearly affect the warranty.

The flagship X1 M35i xDrive is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 221kW and 400Nm.

The X1 xDrive25e offers up to 86km of WLTP-claimed electric range and consumes 3.3L/100km on the combined cycle. It has a 47L fuel tank and this allows for a theoretical range of up to 1424km.

Lastly, the X1 M35i xDrive is claimed to consume 8.3L/100km, according to WLTP testing. It has a 54L fuel tank and this allows for a theoretical range of up to 650km.

All X1 variants require a minimum of 95 RON premium unleaded petrol.
