Audi Q8 2024 Interior

As you might expect, the Audi Q8 e-tron’s interior majors on quality, design and functionality.

Being a medium-sized SUV, it is also a spacious and practical place to be, with good vision, heaps of storage, excellent ventilation and easy reach of all major controls.

The front seats are comfy and supportive, especially on long journeys.

There are three separate screens ahead of the front occupants – a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation cluster Audi calls Virtual Cockpit, a 10.1-inch central multimedia display with haptic feedback and an 8.6-inch unit for climate control.

With some familiarisation, operation is easy and intuitive. Praise, too, for the clear digital dials and markings, as well as the sheer amount of info/data on offer. The buttons and switches that remain have a satisfying tactility to them too.

The rear seat, meanwhile, can fit three people across without too much squishiness. There are climate control switches and vents, a folding centre armrest with cupholders, reading lamps and two USB-C outlets, to match the pair up front.

Overall, the effect is quiet, isolated and cocooning, just as you want an Audi SUV to be.

Head inside the Audi Q8 60 TFSI e's cabin and you’ll notice a luxuriously appointed but understated aesthetic. The supple Valcona leather upholstery and leather trims add refinement but it’s the flush joinery and the way the dashboard seems so well settled that makes the cockpit look good.

The dashboard is headlined by a 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia screen and 8.6-inch climate control panel.

LED ambient lighting with 30 colour choices further customises the cabin.

Audi Q8 2024 Seats

The Audi Q8 e-tron is a five-seater luxury SUV, and the seats certainly live up to brand expectations.

All models include leather or leather-like material, with the front seats adjustable electrically. They also feature heating elements to keep you toasty on a cold day. If you choose a Sportback or S line package, they are also more heavily bolstered, to provide better lateral support through corners.

The rear bench features a backrest with a 40:20:40 split/fold, that allows both passengers and longer items from the cargo area to share that space.

A lever sited near the tailgate also activates the backrest lowering mechanism.

The Audi Q8 60 TFSI e comes with five seats in a 2/3 configuration.

Black Valcona leather upholstery with S embossing on the headrests is standard.

Front seats are electric with four-way electric lumbar support and extendable under-thigh supports. The drivers' side also sports a two-way position memory function.

Rear seat has a 40/20/40 split, can be slid forward up to 10cm and fold mostly flat. The rear seat features a fold-down middle armrest with retractable cupholders.

With all seats in play, the Audi Q8 60 TFSI e's boot size is 505L (100L less than fuel-only models), but you can bump it up to 1625L with the back seats folded.

Audi Q8 2024 FAQs

Why is Audi Q8 more expensive than the Q7?

Even though the Q7 is larger than the Q8 and shares much of the same technology, Audi justifies a considerably price hike on the Q8 due to its more sport-focused powertrain options which boost performance. The Q8 is available in V6, V8 or full-electric guises, with the choice of petrol, diesel, hybrid and battery electric powertrains. The Q7 is only offered in petrol or diesel, the majority of which are in V6 guises with one V8 option. The top-spec SQ8 shares much of its underpinnings with the Lamborghini Urus.
