Launched in Australia in 2022, the Haval H6GT is the fastback-styled sibling of the popular H6 mid-size SUV from Chinese carmaker GWM. Designed to stand out in a crowded segment, the H6GT blends coupe-like styling with SUV practicality, appealing to buyers seeking sportier alternatives to traditional family haulers.
Sharing its underpinnings with the regular H6, the GT variant adds a more aggressive design and unique features, including a bespoke rear end, different bumpers and a sporty interior. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a dual-clutch transmission and front- or all-wheel drive, the H6GT prioritises on-road presence without sacrificing space or safety.
Known as the Haval H6S in some overseas markets, the H6GT has helped boost GWM’s profile in Australia by offering sharp value and bold styling. As the brand continues expanding its electrified range, the H6GT remains a key player in GWM’s line-up of affordable mid-size SUVs.
The line-up currently starts at $44,990 for the Haval H6GT Ultra (4Wd) and ranges through to $52,990 for the range-topping Haval H6GT Ultra Phev Hi4 (4Wd).
