Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Engine

The entry-grade Corvette Stingray has a 6.2-litre V8 making 369kW and 637Nm. The E-Ray combines this 6.2-litre with a hybrid system making 488kW and 806Nm. The top-of-the-range Z06 has a 5.5-litre V8 making 475kW and 595Nm.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Accessories

The entry-grade Corvette is the Stingray and it comes standard with dual-zone climate control, active cruise control, wireless phone charging, a 14-speaker Bose stereo, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, wireless AppleCarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. The GT1 seats are power-adjustable and also heated and ventilated, proximity unlocking and a Z51 Performance Package that brings staggered 19- and 20-inch alloy wheels (front and rear), a performance exhaust, a front splitter and a rear spoiler.

Stepping up to the E-Ray adds the ZER Performance Package which brings upgraded suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ZP Performance tyres and spoiler wicker. The E-Ray also gets a wider body kit, ceramic brakes and E-Ray specific wheels.

At the top of the Corvette range is the Z06 which gains wider body proportions, too, plus unique Z06 wheels and spoiler.

The optional Z07 Package adds carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R ultra performance tyres (275/30ZR20 front and 345/25ZR21 rear), a visible carbon-fibre aero kit including large rear wing, front splitter and dive planes.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Speed

The Corvette Z-6 and E-Ray both have a 0-100 time of 2.9 seconds, while the entry-grade Stingray does it in 3.4 seconds.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Interior

The Corvette's interior can't quite match its exterior when it comes to high drama, but there are still some pleasing theatrics in the form of the rear glass window to view the engine and the individual pod-style occupant cells separated by a wall of switches that feels a bit 'fighter jet'.

All Corvettes come with leather upholstery and carbon-fibre elements within the cabin.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Fuel consumption

Fuel consumption for the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette is dependent on the type of engine, transmission, or model chosen.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 FAQs

Does the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette have any major problems?

The C8 Corvette (current model) is a fabulous piece of kit. It gives more or less supercar performance and handling for less than half the price of many established supercars, which makes it one of the all-time great motoring bargains.

As far as reliability goes, that will depend on the car’s history and whether it’s been maintained correctly. I’d also be a bit leery of car that has seen its share of track use (something the Corvette is otherwise very good at thanks to its performance envelope).

The 6.2-litre engine is a very well known quantity and is generally regarded as bulletproof. The only real question mark lies over the dual-clutch transmission, and some owners overseas have reported electronic and oil leak problems with the Corvette’s transmission. It’s worth mentioning, though, that our conditions don’t always match those of other countries, but the small number of Australian-delivered C8 Corvettes makes it hard to know how widespread these problems are.

Would I own one? In a heartbeat.

Camaro or Corvette coming to Australia?

We hear lots of speculation but nothing solid yet. If it happens it's most likely to be the Corvette, which will be easier to convert to right-hand drive. GM International boss Stefan Jacoby told CarsGuide's Joshua Dowling in January: "We will bring a true sports car to Australia for the brand Holden."

Bright idea for spark plugs

RUNNING a different fuel -- or even a cleaner through the engine regularly -- might well be a way of preventing the carbon build-up that leads to the problem with the plugs in the Ford V8. The problem is most people only realise there is a problem when the plugs break while being removed.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Seats

The Corvette is a two-seater car, there's not even a back shelf behind those seats to throw your jacket, so keep it on.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Towing Capacity

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette has no towing capacity for the selected year. Some models also offer heavy-duty or towing option packs which can increase towing capacity, as well as options which can hamper towing capacity. Towing capacities can vary wildly on a large number of factors. These include engine, transmission, model, and options chosen. Always check with the manufacturer or in your vehicles handbook before attempting to tow anything.

Chevrolet Corvette 2025 Range

The 70-litre fuel tank on board the Corvette means the Stingray has a range of 520km. The Z06 has a range of 438km, and the E-Ray has a range of 608km. All there are theoretical, of course.
