The 450h is the biggest (and, we think, best) option in the RX family, combining a V6 engine with an electric motor to provide ample oomph without killing you at the bowser.

It’ll cost you $90,160 in Luxury guise, and $102,460 if you step up the the F Sport. The Sport Luxury is the most expensive model in the RX family, and will cost you $108,610 for the 450h.

The Luxury-badged cars arrive with 20-inch alloy wheels, a powered tailgate, LED headlights and fog lights (with daytime running lights), keyless entry, roof rails and rain-sensing wipers. While inside, expect dual-zone climate control, sat nav, push-button start and leather trim.

Step up to the F Sport and you’ll add a bigger, 12.3-inch infotainment screen that adds a CD player and DVD player and pairs with a better Mark Levinson sound system complete with 15 speakers (including a subwoofer). Finally, the Sport Luxury adds soft leather trim elements, heated seats in the second row and a power folding function for the backseat.

The hybrid uses the same V6 engine as the RX 450, but pairs. It with an electric motor that serves up combined outputs of 230kW and 335Nm. It links with a CVT, sending its power to all four wheels.
